Accounts receivable

An Accounts Receivable (AR) professional is responsible for managing incoming payments and ensuring that a company receives payment for its goods or services in a timely and accurate manner. This role involves generating invoices, tracking outstanding balances, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and sending invoices to customers Monitoring customer accounts for overdue payments Posting payments to the correct accounts and reconciling discrepancies Following up with clients on outstanding invoices via phone or email Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records Assisting with month-end closing and reporting Coordinating with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues Accounts Receivable professionals must have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets.
